Bio
Ovidia has written novels, short stories and over 30 plays including The Woman in a Tree on the Hill, 3 Fat Virgins and Hitting (On) Women. Her awards include the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Singapore Foundation Award for outstanding contribution to the development of arts, National Arts Council’s Young Artist Award and the Singapore Youth Award (Arts and Culture). She has conducted fiction and playwriting workshops for the Ministry of Education’s Gifted Education Programme and TheatreWorks, mentored for the Mentor Access Project programme, and is a non-resident fellow of Eusoff College, National University of Singapore.
