Bio
Mathumai is a Sri Lankan-born social science student living in United Kingdom. She started writing from a tender age of 13. She has published one collection of short stories in 2005 and a poetry collection in 2009, both in Tamil. Her short stories have been translated into Sinhala. Mathumai is keen to explore issues involving women and the Tamil Diaspora.


What book would you like to snuggle under covers with, and why?
"I like THE ALCHEMIST, always. Its constantly makes me alive and it fulfill one’s destiny. It keeps me with magical feelings from start to the end."
