Bio
Latha has published two collections of modern Tamil poetry: Theeveli (Firespace) in 2003 and Paampuk Kaattil Oru Thaazhai (A Screwpine in Snakeforest), which was released as a second edition in 2005. Her poems have been anthologised in Journeys: Words, Home and Nation (1995), Rhythms: A Singaporean Millennial Anthology of Poetry (2000) and Kanavum Vidiyum: Anthology of Contemporary Tamil Poetry by Women Poets (2003). Her 2007 short story collection, Nan kolai Seyium penkkal (The Women I Kill), won the Singapore Literature Prize in 2008. She is currently a news editor with Singapore’s Tamil Murasu daily newspaper.
What book would you like to snuggle under covers with, and why?
"I would love to snuggle a book from the shopaholic series, the comical element present certainly helps me to unwind after a tired day's of work. The novel makes me laugh. I could easily relate myself with the protagonist. Her insanity drives me crazy and her outrageous sense of humour can't stop me from giggling throughout..."
