In 2000, Hyoung-Su published his first short story in the literary magazine Hyundae Munhak. Since then, he has published about 20 short stories and two novels, Things to Know Before Growing a Rabbit (2003) and Fiction of Midnight (2006). Various critics have commented on his creative sense by saying that he was able to "achieve aggressive seperation from reality" and use the unreal to clearly emphasise life's contradictions. The main interest of his novels lies not in the centre where the majority of society is focused in in great intensity, but in the outskirts where the angry prisoner, the self-torturing minority and the lost ghosts dwell.
