Won-Pyung Sohn (b.1979) is a writer, film critic, film director. Earned her BA in social studies and philosophy at Sogang Univ. and film directing at Korean Academy of Film Arts. Made her literary debut in 2017 with her first full-length novel Almond winning the Changbi YA Prize, immediately garnering rave reactions from the readers. Almond has been translated in more than 30 countries over the world. She also writes books for children and directed a commercial film Intruder.
