Driving syncopated syllables along lines delivered tighter than a Cardi B outfit, we break down how backbeats and funky drumclaps call for creative lyricism, making both words and people jump around.




Will Beale is a poet and singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. At 25 he launched his first poetry book, They Call Us Loud, in Malaysia. The next year, Will represented the state of Victoria at the Australia National Poetry Slam in 2016, performing at the Sydney Opera House. These days, he performs at gigs and literary festivals in Singapore.

His first music EP, Matryoshka, will be released at the end of 2023 with Believe Music.
