In this edition, some of the Festival’s most loved writers take over Projector X: No Spoilers Bar. Guests will enjoy an intimate conversation followed by a Q&A session.

Viet Thanh Nguyen’s writing is bold and fiercely honest. His remarkable debut novel, The Sympathizer, won the Pulitzer Prize, and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. The Committed, the long-awaited follow-up to The Sympathizer, was published in 2021 and has been called “a masterwork.” Viet was the recipient of a MacArthur “Genius Grant".
He teaches at the University of Southern California and is a cultural critic-at-large for The Los Angeles Times.
Prasanthi Ram is a full-time writing lecturer at Nanyang Technological University, where she completed her PhD in creative writing. She is also the co-founder and fiction editor of Mahogany Journal. Most recently, Prasanthi released her debut work of fiction, Nine Yard Sarees (Ethos Books: 2023). On her days off, she indulges in Korean variety shows, long walks, and trips to unique restaurants.
