கெடா மாநிலத்தில் ஆசிரியராகப் பணியாற்றி வரும் எழுத்தாளர். இதுவரை மாணவர்களுக்காக 18க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நூல்களும், இலக்கியத்தில் 16 நூல்களும் இயற்றியுள்ளார். சிறுவர்களுக்கான தொடர் நாவலை மலேசியாவில் முதலில் தமிழில் எழுதியவரும் இவரே. மர்மக் குகையும் ஓநாய் மனிதர்களும் என்கிற அச்சிறுவர் நாவல் பல்லாயிரம் மாணவர்களால் ஆர்வத்துடன் தொடர்ந்து வாசிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. சிறுவர்களின் உலகில் விருப்பமான எழுத்தாளராக வலம் வந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார். இதுவரை கலை இலக்கியத்தில் இருபதிற்கும் மேற்பட்ட விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார்.

K Balamurugan works as a teacher in the state of Kedah. So far he has authored more than 18 books for students and 16 books on literature. In Malaysia, he is also the first person to have written a series of children's novels in Tamil. The children's novel Mystery Cave and Wolf Men is popular with students. He is also an award-winning short-film-maker featured in international film festivals, having received more than 20 awards in literature and short film categories.
