These poets have got words in spades, but they’re also here for the silences in between. How do the spaces within a poem speak louder than words? We discuss the humble slash, line break, comma, caesura, and all the possibilities that take place adjacent to, within, and all around the text.

Theophilus Kwek has published four poetry collections, two of which were shortlisted for the Singapore Literature Prize. His work has appeared in The Guardian, Times Literary Supplement, Mekong Review, and elsewhere.
