Elizabeth Gilbert is the author of critically acclaimed novels and immensely popular works of nonfiction. Her memoir, the #1 New York Times bestseller Eat Pray Love, has been translated into more than 30 languages, sold over 13 million copies, and was adapted into a 2010 film starring Julia Roberts. She wrote Committed: A Love Story and most recently City of Girls. Gilbert is the founder and host of The Onward Book Club, which uplifts the work of Black female authors.
The creative force behind the radio show, Read with Michelle Martin, she has shared her favourite fiction and non-fiction picks for the last 20 years on-air. Michelle’s lovely conversations have featured a broad range of noted authors including former Singapore President SR Nathan, Hanya Yanagihara, Raymond E Feist, Steven Pinker, and Cyril Wong.
