Writers / Presenters
Kwame Alexander is the New York Times bestselling author of 35 books, a regular contributor to NPR's Morning Edition, and the Founding Editor of VERSIFY, a publishing imprint of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt whose mission is to ‘Change the World One Word at a Time’. Twice long-listed for the National Book Award, Kwame’s numerous honours include The Newbery Award. He has delivered hundreds of keynote speeches, and has led cultural exchange delegations to countries including Brazil, Italy, Singapore, and Ghana.
Denise is a bookseller who has worked with children’s literature for over a decade. In 2013, she very delightfully co-founded Closetful of Books. With Closetful of Books, she shares her love for stories by bringing bookfairs, talks and workshops with authors and illustrators to local and international schools.
