About

This is an island, a city, and a nation. For several million islanders who call it home, it is also where their hearts are. Every island has its own evolving geology, every city its own stories, and every nation its history of struggles. Each home is assembled from the building blocks of love and hate. This is a collection of eight science fiction novels, in which different frameworks are compressed, knocked about, and enmeshed together; in which a multitude of complex ideas are hammered into well-defined narratives. Readers will experience, in the intoxicating extravagances and human connections, the subtle interactions between humanity and technology in the present day.

About the author

Teo Kok Keong was born in Singapore in 1973. He graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a master’s degree in electrical engineering. His main medium is the novel and his works are published in Lianhe Zaobao and other major local publications. His published works include Traveller x Lost (Taipei, 2014).

‘The combination of reason and sensibility is derived from the understanding of the human condition and technology. This unique combination helps us find the light and darkness in humanity.’ – Teo Kok Keong
