Neelakandan Sivanantham has authored three nonfiction books between 2019 and 2022, among them Singapore Tamil Community: History and Fiction (சிங்கைத் தமிழ்ச் சமூகம்: வரலாறும் புனைவும்).

Sivanantham served as one of the Judges for Singapore Literature Prize 2022. He actively contributes as a volunteer editor for The Serangoon Times and as an assistant editor for the upcoming Encyclopedia of Singapore Tamils.
